VANDERHURD durries are all bespoke and made to order. Client's requirements are accommodated with designs ranging from subtle stripes to bold geometric patterns and a choice of colours from our vast palette of yarns. Vanderhurd's exclusive use of silk yarn to weave our durries requires a yarn spinning technique that is entirely unique to the company. The silk gives the durries a discreet lustre, an incredible depth of colour and a luxurious feel underfoot, as well as great durability The adaptation of a traditional technique to an unconventional material is exemplary of Vanderhurd's creative sensibility. Recently Vanderhurd perfected production of wool durries, which are available in all of the same designs as our silk durries, and a metallic thread reminiscent of Indian Zari threadwork can be incorporated into either construction to stunning effect. |
